Mirage3D is a 3D animation studio focussing on large format cinematic experiences.

We specialise in the creation of full dome video planetarium shows, as well as HD video productions.

Full dome video shows immerse the audience in a true 360 degrees projected computer generated virtual environment.

The Mirage3D productions, are popular scientific shows, that appeal to a large general audience. They are motivational journeys through time and space, covering a wide range of natural sciences.

Our first full dome production: “Origins of Life” is one of the first full dome shows in the World from which all scenes are completely generated with 3D computer graphics.

Our second full dome production: “Dawn of the Space Age” tries to lift to the bar even higher with the detailed reconstruction of historic space exploration scenes.

Our mission is to increase photorealism for full dome content, by going to extremes in getting the correct source data, and source images for creating photorealistic textures.

We take it as the utmost importance to deliver quality, and therefore spend a considerable amount of time constructing, and meticulous fine tuning all 3D models and scenes. Scenes are rendered up to a resolution of 4096 x 4096 pixels per frame.

Our productions are shown at all the major planetarium conferences in the world, including IPS, Maps, GLPA, WAC, DomeFest, APLF, ADP, European Workshop in Immersive Cinema, and others.
